BAA Heathrow Airport programme director Julian Foster expects 100% of his project managers to hold APMP by the end of the year.

BAA Heathrow Airport programme director Julian Foster values the ‘best of class’ APMP qualification  from the Association for Project Management so highly that he wants his entire project management workforce to hold it.

“The percentage of our staff that I see having APMP by the end of this year should be 100% of our project managers,” said Julian.

Speaking to APM Julian said that the internationally recognised qualification is of great importance to BAA as it serves as a benchmark for the capability of the organisation’s project management community.

He added that APMP is important on a number of other levels including “the fact that it is best of class, but more importantly is the fact that it is not just about a process, it’s about the tools and techniques. So we get that flexibility as well.”
