Introductory Certificate - 2 days
Overview
In 2004 APM worked with the Department for Education and Skills to develop the APM Introductory Certificate in Project Management which offers an insight into this exciting and challenging discipline.
No prior knowledge or experience in project management is required for this certificate. It is designed for anyone looking to start a successful career in project management or those wanting to understand the principles of project management excellence.
Successful candidates will be able to understand the language of project management and the structure of a successful project. They will be able to take an active part in a project team and make a positive contribution to any project environment.
Assessment
Assessment will be through a one hour, 60 question, multiple-choice exam taken at the end of the course.

Course duration and venue
The course lasts for two full days. Venues are at Brands Hatch Kent, Cambridge, Norwich, Southampton and London.
Free Registration when Becoming a Member of the APM
Individuals who take the exam will be eligible for free registration when applying for membership to the Association. This offer is only available for six weeks after the exam (valid from the date on the results letter)
Study Guide
A Study Guide for candidates taking the Introductory Certificate in Project Management will be provided free to delegates registering on the course. It can also be purchased from APM Publishing. Additional materials will also be provided.

Cancellation is £60 + VAT. Resits are £60 + VAT.
The basic course fee will be £540 + VAT. This includes all tuition, the course manual, refreshments before and between the teaching sessions - including lunch on both days. The APM exam fee is additional.
Reduced course fees are available to:

Any company that sends two or more delegates (20% on all delegates).

An early-bird reduction of 10% for bookings received at least two months before the course.
Note that these reductions are all based on a percentage of the full fee; the maximum reduction is 30%.
